I don't know how I never thought to do this before really, but here goes...
Learning to play an instrument, learning to sing or just learning about music theory/history can sound like a daunting task - and it certainly is extremely time consuming... but it needn't be a drain on your wallet - not when you have access to the GLR Musical Learning Resource Centre (GLRMLRC doesn't really have much of a ring to it does it? :-\).
The idea here is basically to compile a list of useful links that might assist people who are learning about music.. there is only one rule: its gotta be free. It can be anything from a small article, or part of a series of articles, to an entire online course. So long as it involves music and the learning process you can post it here.. following the first post in a thread you can discuss or review, whatever you want - just a little something so that people know if its worth their time or not.
The best advice I can give anyone reading this right now is this: Be persistent, don't ever stop... even if you get sick to death of it, keep practicing - keep reading, continue learning - follow the pursuit of musical knowledge, and by the time you reach the end of your journey you will hopefully be satisfied.
Once the list is a little more comprehensive, it can be broken down into a few sub-sections and all that.. but lets not try to run before we can walk; what we need first are some links.
So anyway, welcome to the GLR Musical Learning Resource Centre... ;D
