OK, so I'm going into town (Bristol) this weekend to buy some holiday gear. Seeing as I rarely go into the city these days, I'm gonna use the opportunity to make a massive leaflet/CD-R drop wherever we go (ie all over the new Cabot Cirus and Broadmead shopping centres).
So that gives me until Sunday to compile and burn a bunch of CD-Rs and to print off a load of leaflets.
Suggestions for the leaflets are welcome, but you need to contact me pretty quick because I want to get it out of the way long before Sunday arrives.
The same goes for the CDs - I'll be posting here, there and everywhere GLR related to work out what tracks the GLR core want up, but if I can't get a list from you guys before the weekend I'll just go with whatever I can throw together.
So - post yer personal favourites and/or leaflet ideas in this thread and I'll work me magic on em in time for the weekend
;D ;D ;D ;D the CDs are here!!! and they look feckin sweeeeeeet!
previously when printing GLR cds I'd been using an image of a 45* printed onto a full-sized CD label (biiiig waste of black ink lol). For these CDs I can just spray a logo stencil on the middle and write the details on the flyer.
So now all yer albums will be burned onto much higher quality CD-Rs at a smaller cost and with a groovier label
Verbatim Digital Vinyl CD-Rs are coated with Super Azo - an added layer that provides additional protection of the data against UV sunlight, high temperatures and humidity. It's also designed to provide greater laser tolerance. The Azo technology was created to last longer and be more durable than some competing technologies.
* incidentally the record used was an 80's release of Strawberry Fields Forever b/w Penny Lane. Nice little GLR factoid for y'all there ;D
also for the record (pardon the pun )the CDs in the pic are slightly different to the ones i received - the white label goes almost all the way to the centre spindle and the vinyl grooves are much more realistic lookinh.
still grokkin the bumpy vinyl feel* to the surface - its almost like a real record.. can anyone tell im hyped up on coffee today!?!?
* hehe - just finished reading the review, they described the surface as 'ribbed' ... GLR music: Ribbed for her (listening) pleasure
